Alright, so when i bought my car, it already had the 16:9 Upgraded screen.

Heres my problem, my Info button, select and phone buttons dont work. Now i was on my i phone one day and i found a thread regarding to this, but for the life of me i cannot find that thread ive searched for like 3 hours. Consequently my eyes are hurting and im straining to see read what im wirting.

Anyways the problem is i think, if you use a certain headunit, a few of the buttons stop working. Mine still has the tape player when you open it.

My car is a 2000, and it had the 4:3 screen before. I have the MK2 NAV Unit. Its so annoying, because i cannot get RDS or anything to work.

Can someone point me in the right direction to fix this? That would be awesome! Ive searched and searched, but i just cant remember what i typed in exactly and what page i was on and what i clicked on to find that thread. My phone called it quits while i was sifting through that page and it wasnt in the history for some odd reason.

Thanks guys!

I did a 16:9 upgrade and had the same problem with the INFO button and one other not working. I thought it was just a bad button, except I took the unit out one time, for another reason, and all the buttons were restored when I put it back in. The easy fix is to try disconnecting the battery for a few min. If that doesnt work, you may try taking the unit out and unplugging it. That is what I did. Although the battery was already disconnected when I did that, so I dont see how it would matter.

Awesome. Well hopefully thats all it is. My battery has been disconnected for the past 3 days because i pulled my ecu out to send to Powerchips!

Thanks for the response!!

It happened to me while using a MK IV (upgraded 2000 M5).

The buttons I was having trouble with were-
INFO: sets the text display on/off for radio stations that support it.
TONE/SELECT: sets the default for when you use the < or > to scan channels- search sensitive, non sensitive, manual tune

Ive noticed from all the nav and ipod upgrading Ive done, that a battery reboot is almost always a cure for these systems. Almost as if microsoft wrote the software....
